The purpose of this paragraph is to identify the possible and negative side effects of divorce regardless of who the parents are. There seems not be enough data to gage the negative effects on children who are the product of same sex parents. It is possible that children who are the products of this type of environment can feel the effects of divorce in a negative way. The children must be accustomed to the same sex parents and breaking that harmony could create stress. When parents are willing to work together for the benefit of the children, this gesture can only benefit all those involved.
